Ethics & safety

What we will not do.

Astrology, tarot, and numerology have a long, painful history of being weaponized against vulnerable people. We refuse to participate in that. Here is what that means in practice.

A softly glowing brass lantern with a steady warm flame, encircled by a delicate gold-leaf filigree mandala forming a protective ring around it, set against a deep midnight-indigo cosmic backdrop — calm, sheltering, dignified.

Our commitments

We will not
  • Predict the date or manner of any death.
  • Claim that you, your family, or your home are "cursed" or "afflicted" in ways requiring expensive remedies.
  • Sell yantras, gemstones, pujas, or "removal" services bundled with readings.
  • Use fear of misfortune to drive purchases.
  • Encourage you to leave a partner, quit a job, or make irreversible life decisions solely because a chart said so.
  • Pretend AI-generated text is a human astrologer.
  • Train public models on your private birth data.
We will
  • Show every chart, placement, card, or number that informed an insight.
  • Tag each claim with a confidence level — High / Medium / Worth holding lightly.
  • Recommend qualified professional help (medical, psychological, legal, financial) whenever a reading touches those domains.
  • Treat your birth details as encrypted, deletable, and never-for-sale data.
  • Honor the source traditions of Western astrology, Vedic Jyotish, Tarot, and Numerology with technical accuracy.
  • Tell you when a question is outside what these systems can responsibly answer.
  • Make it one click to delete every byte of your data from our systems.

How we use AI

Ephemeris calculations (planetary positions, chart geometry, Vedic dashas, numerology grids) are performed by certified, deterministic astrology engines — not by AI. These calculations are mathematically identical across providers.

AI is used only to translate those calculations into clear, human-language reflections. We disclose this on every reading. AI-generated text is reviewed against the rules above before delivery.

This reflection is interpretive and should not replace professional medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice.

The operating system

Five questions every feature has to answer yes to.

Not a marketing list. These are the gates that every product decision passes through internally before it ships. They are pinned to our PR template, version-controlled in our codebase, and visible to you so you can hold us to them.

  1. Would we be embarrassed if a journalist read every notification we sent this user?

No fake-urgency push copy. No engagement-bait subject lines. Maximum 4 notifications per week per user, default. The user can dial down to 1 or up to 1/day — they pick the rhythm, we honor it.

  2. Can the user cancel in one tap, get a refund, and download their data, today?

7-day no-questions refund on every paid product. One-tap cancel on every future subscription, takes effect immediately. Full data export the moment we have anything worth exporting. If we can't honor this on a feature, the feature doesn't ship.

  3. Is every claim sourced or marked as opinion?

Every report and Oracle answer carries confidence tags (well-supported / suggestive / hold lightly) and cites the classical text or method behind the claim. Where multiple traditions disagree, we say so out loud instead of papering over it.

  4. Would we sell this to our own parent or sibling without hesitation?

If the price point would feel exploitative to family, the price is wrong. If a feature would make us cringe to demo to a parent, the feature is wrong. This is the gut-check that catches what policy can't.

  5. Does this feature genuinely help the user, or does it only help us?

Retention metrics that go up because users got more value — we ship. Metrics that go up because users got trapped — we kill. Every retention experiment is gated by this question before we run it.

The rest of the policy

Ethics is one face of the contract

What we won’t do is half of trust. How we compute, how accurate it is, and how to reach a real human are the other half.
